1 John

1 John

¹We are telling you about the one who existed from the start: the one we heard with our ears and saw with our eyes, whom we looked at closely and touched with our hands. We speak about the Word of life. ²For the life was made known to us. We saw it and became witnesses, and we announce to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was made known to us. ³What we have seen and heard we announce to you as well, so that you too may share fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. ⁴We are writing these things to you so that your joy, which is ours, may be complete. ⁵This is the message we heard from him long ago and now announce to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all, not even a little. ⁶If we tell you that we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we are lying and we are not doing what is right and true. ⁷But if we walk in the light, as he is light, we share fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all our sins. ⁸If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹If we openly confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous. He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all our wrongdoing. ¹⁰If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. ¹¹ወዛቲ፡ ይእቲ፡ ስምዑ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ እንተ፡ ወሀበነ፡ ሕይወተ፡ ዘለዓለም። ወዛቲ፡ ይእቲ፡ ሕይወት፡ እንተ፡ በወልዱ። ¹²ዘሀለወ፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ወልድ፡ ቦቱ፡ ሕይወት። ወዘሰ፡ ኢሀሎ፡ ምስለ፡ ወልደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አልቦቱ፡ ሕይወት። *በእንተ፡ ሕይወት፡ ወስእለት* ¹³ወዘንተ፡ ጸሐፍኩ፡ ለክሙ፡ ከመ፡ ታእምሩ፡ ከመ፡ ብክሙ፡ ሕይወት፡ ዘለዓለም። እለ፡ ተአምኑ፡ በስሙ፡ ለወልደ፡ እግዚአብሔር። ¹⁴ወዛቲ፡ ይእቲ፡ እንተ፡ ብነ፡ ገጽ፡ በኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር። እስመ፡ ዘሰአልነ፡ ኀቤሁ፡ በስመ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ ይሰምዐነ። ¹⁵ወእመሰ፡ ርኢነ፡ ከመ፡ ዘሰአልናሁ፡ ይሰምዐነ። ነአምር፡ እንከ፡ ከመ፡ ብነ፡ ስእለት፡ ዘሰአልነ፡ በኀቤሁ። ¹⁶ወእመሰ፡ ቦ፡ ዘርእዮ፡ ለካልኡ፡ እንዘ፡ ይኤብስ፡ አበሳ፡ ዘኢኮነ፡ ለሞት። ለይስአሎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ከመ፡ ያሕይዎ፡ ለዘይኤብስ፡ አበሳ። ዘኢኮነ፡ ለሞት፡ እስመ፡ ቦ፡ አበሳ፡ ዘለሞት። ወኢኮነ፡ በእንቲኣሁ፡ ዘእብል፡ ከመ፡ ይስአሉ፡ ሎቱ። ¹⁷እስመ፡ ኵሉ፡ አበሳ፡ ኀጢአት፡ ይእቲ። ወቦ፡ ጌጋይ፡ ዘኢኮነ፡ ለሞት። *በእንተ፡ አእምሮተ፡ እግዚአብሔር* ¹⁸ነአምር፡ ከመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘተወልደ፡ እምነ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኢይኤብስ። አላ፡ ዘተወልደ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር፡ የዐቅብ፡ ርእሶ፡ ወእኩይኒ፡ ኢይስሕጦ። ¹⁹ነአምር፡ ከመ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር፡ ንሕነ። ወዓለምሰ፡ ኵሉ፡ በእኪት፡ ይቀውም። ²⁰ወነአምር፡ ከመ፡ ወልደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ መጽአ። ወወሀበነ፡ ልበ፡ ከመ፡ ናእምሮ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ዘበጽድቅ። ወሀለውነ፡ በአሚን፡ በወልደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በኢየሱስ፡ ክርስቶስ። ውእቱ፡ ዘበአማን፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወብነ፡ ሕይወት፡ ዘለዓለም። ²¹ባቲ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ዕቀቡ፡ ርእሰክሙ፡ እምነ፡ አማልክት። ²²ወዘሂ፡ ሰአልናሁ፡ ንነሥእ፡ እምኀቤሁ። እስመ፡ ትእዛዞ፡ ነዐቅብ፡ ወንገብር፡ ዘይኤድሞ፡ ቅድሜሁ። ²³ወዛቲ፡ ይእቲ፡ ትእዛዙ፡ ከመ፡ ንእመን፡ በወልዱ፡ ኢየሱስ፡ ክርስቶስ። ወንትፋቀር፡ በበይናቲነ፡ በከመ፡ ወሀበነ፡ ትእዛዞ። ²⁴ወዘሰ፡ የዐቅብ፡ ትእዛዞ፡ ቦቱ፡ ይነብር፡ ወውእቱኒ፡ ቦቱ። ወበዝንቱ፡ ነአምር፡ ከመ፡ ይነብር፡ ምስሌነ፡ እምነ፡ መንፈሱ፡ ቅዱስ፡ ዘወሀበነ። *በእንተ፡ ፈሊጠ፡ መንፈስ* ²⁵ወዛቲ፡ ይእቲ፡ ተስፋ፡ እንተ፡ አሰፈወነ፡ ሕይወተ፡ ዘለዓለም። ²⁶ወዘንተ፡ ንጽሕፍ፡ ለክሙ፡ በእንተ፡ እለ፡ ያስሕቱክሙ። ²⁷ወአንትሙሰ፡ ቅብዐት፡ ብክሙ፡ እንተ፡ ነሣእክሙ፡ እምኀቤሁ። ወትነብር፡ ኀቤክሙ፡ ወኢትፈቅዱ፡ መኑሂ፡ ይምሀርክሙ። አላ፡ መንፈሰ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ ይሜህረክሙ፡ በእንተ፡ ኵሉ። ወእሙን፡ ውእቱ፡ ወኢኮነ፡ ሐሰተ። ወበከመ፡ ትምህርትክሙ፡ ንበሩ፡ ባቲ። ²⁸ወይእዜኒ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ንበሩ፡ ባቲ። ከመ፡ አመ፡ አስተርአየ፡ ንርከብ፡ ገጸ፡ በዕለተ፡ ደይን። ወኢንትኀፈር፡ እምኔሁ፡ አመ፡ ይመጽእ። ²⁹ወእመሰ፡ ርኢክሙ፡ ከመ፡ ጻድቅ፡ ውእቱ። አእምሩ፡ ከመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘይገብራ፡ ለጽድቅ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ተወልደ። *በእንተ፡ ፍቅረ፡ እግዚአብሔር*
