Leviticus

Chapter 1 of 27
1The LORD called Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying: 2"Speak to the children of Israel and tell them: When any man among you brings an offering to the LORD from the livestock, you shall bring your offering from the cattle or from the sheep. 3If his offering is a burnt offering from the cattle, he shall bring a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the door of the tent of meeting, as one accepted before the LORD. 4He shall lay his hand on the head of the animal he has brought for the burnt offering, so that it may be accepted for him and make atonement for him. 5They shall slaughter the bull before the LORD, and Aaron's sons, the priests themselves, shall bring its blood and splash the blood around on the altar that stands at the door of the tent of meeting. 6They shall skin it and cut it into its separate pieces. 7Aaron's sons, the priests, shall put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire. 8Then Aaron's sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces they have cut, with the head and the fat, on the wood over the fire that is on the altar. 9They shall wash its entrails and its legs with water, and the priest shall burn all of it on the altar. It is a sacrifice of offering and a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 10If his offering to the LORD is from the flock, whether a sheep or a young goat, for a burnt offering, he shall bring a male without blemish. 11They shall slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall splash its blood around on the altar. 12They shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priests shall lay them on the wood over the fire that is on the altar. 13They shall wash the entrails and the legs with water, and the priest shall bring all of it and place it on the altar. It is an offering of the altar and a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 14If he brings his sacrifice as an offering to the LORD from the birds, he shall bring his offering from the turtledoves or from the pigeons. 15The priest shall bring it to the altar, wring off its neck, and place it on the altar, and he shall drain its blood at the base of the altar. 16He shall remove its entrails along with its feathers and throw them out on the east side, at the place for the ashes. 17He shall break it open at its wings without severing it, and the priest shall place it on the altar, on the wood that is over the fire. It is an offering of the altar and a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
