Enoch
Chapter 1 of 108
1The words of the blessing of Enoch, with which he blessed the chosen and the righteous who will be living in the day of distress, when all the wicked and the godless are removed. 2Enoch spoke up and said (a righteous man from the LORD, whose eyes were opened, and who saw a holy vision in the heavens): "The angels showed me this, and I heard everything from them, and I understood what I saw. It is not for this generation but for generations far off that are still to come. 3I spoke about the chosen, and I spoke this saying about them: The Holy and Great One will come out from His dwelling, 4the God of the world. From there He will step down upon Mount Sinai, and He will appear with His army, and He will appear in the strength of His power from heaven. 5Everyone will be afraid, and the Watchers will tremble. Fear and great trembling will seize them, to the ends of the earth. 6The high mountains will be shaken, and the tall hills will be brought low. They will melt like wax before a flame. 7The earth will sink, and everything on the earth will perish. There will be judgment on everyone, and on all the righteous. 8But for the righteous He will make peace. He will guard the chosen, and mercy will be upon them. They will all belong to God, they will prosper and be blessed, and the light of God will shine on them. 9Look, He comes with ten thousands of holy ones to carry out judgment on them. He will destroy the wicked and convict all flesh for everything that sinners and the wicked have done and committed against Him. ‹
